You know your product is great, you know other people should
love it and want to buy it from you.
Thing is, the other people have to discover your product
first. How do you make that happen?
Well you could sit back and hope that word of mouth
marketing really takes hold and does the job for you!
Or you could use the services of a copywriter to purvey your
sales message out to your customers.
How does copywriting work?
Well, I could tell you, but then Id have to kill you, and I
wouldnt want to do that now as I want you as my long term
customer.
Suffice to say, when done well, copywriting
can just blast your product or services sales into the
stratosphere.
It can add amazing value to your offers
resulting in customers happily paying a lot
more for your product than they would do with your
competitors, yet you wouldnt have to really DO anything more,
the copywriting has done all the work for
you.
Whether its long copy for a website or a small piece for an
newspaper advert, its important to get it right.
Look at many websites and they can send you to sleep, all
the text is me, us, our history blah blah blah.
All I want to know is why should I use you, whats in it for
me? I dont care how long you've been in business or what
qualifications you got ten years ago or that your pet dog is
named Tommy and nearly got run over last week. Im not going to
buy from you because of any of those reasons!
But still, its not as simple as just listing out
benefits. It has to resonate with the reader, with
your potential customer, it has to grab their interest, and
keep them hooked using clever
skills right through to the end, where there
absolutely HAS TO BE a CALL TO ACTION
You have to tell them what you want them to do
next!. Else they'll go away and do nothing.
Getting all these points (and more that I cant tell you)
perfect takes great skills, ones that only professionals
possess, ones that you need to pay for, but ones that get great
results for those that use them.
See some examples of our copywriting work, there's the
therapy copywriting, the
debt recovery copywriting
and the fitness
copywriting to look at for examples.
